Our Flint Lake Outpost is truly a fisherman’s dream. You will depart from Flint Wilderness Resort by boat; travel three miles up Klotz Lake where you will enter Flint River. The primitive beauty of the river will absolutely take your breath away. You will see various species of waterfowl, moose and occasionally a black bear. After four miles on the river you will enter Flint Lake.
As you look across this broad expanse of water you will be seeing it as the voyagers and trappers saw it 200 years ago. Dotted with islands, it is truly a pristine wilderness wonder. There is no road access and there is only one other outpost on this entire 3200-acre lake. The Walleye and Northern Pike fishing can be described, in no way, other than World Class. You will travel five miles across the lake and arrive at your destination.
We are very proud of our newly expanded and renovated facility. Our package features accommodations for up to eight guests, with generator powered electric lights, hot and cold running water, gas stove, gas refrigerator, 16’ Naden boats powered by 9.9 Yamahas, and yes, a screened in fish cleaning building.
