Fishing News

During the week of Aug 15-21 2010, Flint Wilderness Resort put on one of the most exciting Black Bear Hunts that I have ever been involved in with 26 years of experience guiding Black Bear hunters.  This hunting package includes a fully guided Black Bear hunt, along with boat, motor, accommodations and all of your gas.  Between the hunting and fishing it makes for a true wilderness experience.  Enjoy the video of the 2010 Flint Wilderness Resort Black Bear hunt, and we will hope to see you in the future.  You can visit us on the web at www.flintwildernessresort.com for more information.

I thought I would take the time of August 7-14th to show all you Northern Pike Fisherman out there the proper way to fillet the Great Northern Pike. There are several ways of getting the Y-bone out of the Northern Pike, but several methods are cumbersome and wasteful of meat. The way that I’ll be showing you in this video will leave your fillet in one big fillet steak.

I hope you enjoy!

In this video, during the week of July 31st-August 7th, you’ll find that the guests here at Flint Wilderness Resort fished not only Klotz Lake, but the remote lakes as well. This is a good example of the variety of fishing opportunity that we have to offer you. Come fish with us next year!

It’s now the end of July and the Walleye and Pike are still biting strong! In this video, you’ll see long time guests, like Lonnie Leahman from Lima OH, Jeff Neuman from Sylvania OH, and many others. It’s folks like these that make Flint Wilderness Resort not just a fishing destination, but a place for friends to gather! We hope to see you in the future!

Once again, we had a wonderful week fishing for Walley, Pike and Perch.  The weather has been holding out to be one of our best summers yet.  The month of July offers excellent fishing of Pike in the tall weeds, and Walleye off the rocky points.  Enjoy this video, and come fish with us next year at Flint Wilderness Resort.

During the week of July 10-17, 2010 we had the privilege of having several of our long time guests fishing with us once again.  I would like to take this time to thank all of our guests, especially folks like the Chet Pifer party, and the Ted Friedman party, for all of their years of fishing with us at Flint Wilderness Resort.  We look forward to fishing with them once again next year.  Bert

Flint Wilderness Resort is a Canadian fishing destination for the whole family. You will see during the week of July 3-10, 2010 we have had a lot of families with their children. Our philosophy is, teach your kid’s to fish and hunt and you won’t have to hunt for your kids in the future. Enjoy the video, and we look forward to fishing with you in the future.  Bert

Flint Wilderness Resort has excellent fishing for Walleye,Northern Pike and Perch on Klotz Lake.  We also have boats cached on remote lakes like Kassagimini Lake, Bicknell Lake, Rowena Lake and many others.  When you fish with us on our package plan all of these remote lakes are included.  A fly in experience without the plane or the expense.  We look forward to fishing with you.  Bert

Every week Flint wilderness Resort offers a Tuesday night Hog Roast with all of the fixings.  This is a great event whereby guests can socialize and share stories of the big one that got away.  We look forward to seeing you there.  Bert
