The March winds are still blowing and the snow is still building. May will be here before we know it and Hank and I will be opening up Flint Wilderness Resort once again. We are looking forward to warmer days and biting fish! We still have openings throughout our fishing season. At Flint Wilderness Resort we just finished a fantastic opening week of the 2011 Black Bear Hunt. With 10 hunters, we successfully harvested 9 Black Bears. The hunters had lots of excitement with 32 bear sightings total; 4 of which were over 300 lbs. During the week of August 6-13, 2011 we had guests in our Outpost on Flint Lake along with folks at the main camp on Klotz Lake. Take a look at the video and you will see some great fishing. Bert
Our guests at Flint Wilderness Resort had some great fishing during the week of June 25- July 2, 2011. We also started to get ready for the 2011 Black Bear hunt. We set up a new hunting area that has not been hunted since 1999. We are looking for some excellent results. Take a look at the video and you will see what we mean. Bert
During the week of July 2-9, 2011 Linda and I spent a day at Flint Lake with some of our guests. We caught a lot of fish and turned them into a beautiful shore lunch. It was a day to remember. Take a look at the video and see for yourself. Thank you, Bert
We have had a wonderful summer so far with sunny days and the fish biting. This video is of the week of June 18-25, 2011. With a full camp the Flint guests are not only fishing Klotz Lake but enjoying the fishing on our outer lakes as well. During the week of June 4-11, 2011 the guests at Flint Wilderness Resort enjoyed another week of excellent fishing in the Canadian great outdoors. A number of the guests ventured off to some of our remote lakes for some wilderness fishing. Hank and I ventured off to our outpost on Flint Lake to get it ready for a group of fishermen for the next week. Take a look at the video and see what your missing.
